Discreet, sensitive home cleans.
For when there's been more than a one-off spill — and you'd rather not have to explain it. Quiet, professional, no judgement.
When this is the service you need.
It's not usually the person who lives in the home who calls us. Most often it's a relative — a son, daughter, sibling, or spouse — sorting things while their family member is in hospital, being cared for elsewhere, or just home from a stay.
Sometimes there have been accidents over weeks or months. Sometimes there's been a fall and blood involved. Often there's a path of contamination from where someone was sitting to the bathroom and back.
These jobs are more common than people realise. We do them frequently. We're not put off by anything, and we don't make a fuss.
What we actually do.
We use a high-powered UV torch to find every patch of urine and other organic contamination — including patches you can't see, smell, or feel through the carpet.
Each patch is then treated individually with our professional urine neutraliser, and extracted with a handheld sub-surface extraction tool (a piece of kit built specifically for this). After the patches are dealt with, we do a full carpet clean over the top.
This isn't a "spray and dab" job. Each affected area is treated as its own small project. The aim is full neutralisation — not masking the smell with fragrance.
A UV sweep is included on every clean we do, not just sensitive jobs. If we find anything, we deal with it. No extra charge for the sweep itself.
A real UV sweep — a heavily-soaked area, plus a trail of smaller dribbles above. None of it was visible to the eye, none detectable by smell. This is the kind of pattern we find on most jobs we're called to.
What's included in the service.
- UV-light sweep of the whole affected area — we find what's there before we start.
- Up to 1 litre of professional urine neutraliser, free. Used as concentrated as the situation needs — for heavy contamination we'll mix it at double strength (so 500ml of product covers the affected area, applied at twice the normal potency).
- Individual patch treatment with sub-surface extraction — proper neutralisation, not masking.
- Full equipment strip-down, deep-clean and sterilisation between jobs — nothing comes from someone else's home to yours.
Where the limits are — honestly.
Once urine reaches the underlay, and especially when it's soaked through to the subfloor, full neutralisation isn't always possible from the top down. The contamination is held in the structure of the floor, not the carpet fibre.
If a previous cleaner has used a rental machine (Rug Doctor and similar), a DIY hire, or a low-end professional with the "splash and dash" approach, contamination has likely been pushed deeper rather than removed. We're often called as the last attempt before considering replacement.
What we don't do
We don't lift carpets, treat subfloors, or replace underlay. If your situation needs that, we'll tell you honestly — we're the final cleaning attempt before replacement is considered, not the replacement service itself.
Our job is to do everything possible from the top down. Sometimes that's enough. Sometimes it isn't. We'll be straight with you either way.
As with any deep stain or odour work, no guarantees on jobs like this — we'll always be honest about what we think we can and can't achieve before we start.
How we work.
We arrive, we get on with the job, we leave. No chat to neighbours about what we're cleaning, no questions you don't want asked, no judgement. The people who call us most often are already dealing with enough — we don't add to that.
These jobs aren't priced at our standard room rate — they take longer, each patch is treated individually, and the equipment needs a full strip-down and sterilisation cycle afterwards.
Honestly, work like this can't be priced accurately by the calculator, on the phone, or even on a first visit. The price depends on how much treatment the situation actually needs, which only becomes clear once we start. We'll give you our honest best estimate up front, then a transparent final price based on what the job needed. No surprises, no hidden charges — just an honest reflection of the work.
Other situations we handle the same way.
We use the same discreet approach for any household situation that needs sensitivity:
- After a death in the home — before sale, before family visits, or as part of clearing
- After a period of long-term illness in the home
- Hospice and palliative care environments
- Any household situation you'd rather not have to explain in detail
Quietly sorted, properly done.
If this is the help you need, give us a quick call. Honest conversation first, no pressure — we'll talk through the situation and either quote, come and look, or tell you straight if it needs someone else.
