FAQ

Things people ask us before booking.

Pricing & Booking

How much does carpet cleaning cost?
Our pricing is fully transparent: £99 for the first room, £40 for each additional room (rooms count as up to 15m² — that covers most family rooms). Hallways and landings count as half a room (£20 each, up to 4m²). A single set of stairs counts as one room. The minimum charge is £99. Use our free calculator for an exact quote in 60 seconds.
Are there any hidden costs?
No. The price we quote is the price you pay. If we discover anything unusual on the day — a specialist stain, biohazard contamination, an oversized item — we'll discuss it with you and quote transparently before doing anything extra. You always say yes or no before a penny is added.
How do I book?
Three easy ways: use our online calculator for an instant emailed quote, call us on 07481 589416, or message us via WhatsApp. We'll confirm a date and time that suits you.
Do you offer same-day cleaning?
Yes, subject to availability. Same-day call-out is an additional £50 on top of your quote. Call us and we'll tell you straight away if we can fit you in.
Do you charge call-out fees?
No call-out fees within our standard service area. Same-day bookings are £50 extra. If you're just outside our usual area, give us a call — we sometimes travel for larger jobs.

Safety & Products

Are your products really safe for kids and pets?
Yes. Every product we use is non-toxic and safe for children and pets to be back on the carpet the moment we're packed up. If you'd like extra reassurance, choose our fragrance-free or 100% plant-based options at no extra cost — just tell us when you book.
What's the difference between your three product options?
Standard uses professional-grade products with a very mild, barely-noticeable scent. Fragrance-free is completely odour-neutral — ideal for sensitive noses, asthmatics, or very young children. 100% plant-based uses plant-derived, fully biodegradable products — our greenest option. All three are family-safe and deliver the same powerful clean.
Can you handle wool carpets?
Yes — and properly. Wool needs different chemistry, the right pH, and a much gentler approach. We use wool-safe, low-residue treatments so there's no shrinkage, no colour damage, and no long-term harm to the backing. If you have a wool carpet, please mention it when you book.
I have allergies/asthma — will this aggravate them?
Our deep extraction lifts dust mites, allergens, and pet dander from the pile — many customers tell us their homes feel fresher afterwards. For maximum reassurance, choose our fragrance-free option — zero scent, no artificial perfumes. If you have severe allergies, always check with your GP about any home treatments.

Drying Time

How long until I can walk on the carpet?
It depends on the carpet type. Synthetic carpets (most modern carpets) are usually walk-on dry very quickly — often within an hour using our assisted drying equipment. Wool carpets are more absorbent and can take up to 24 hours to fully dry, though we'll always have walkways and commonly-used areas as dry as possible before we finish. We bring drying equipment to every job, and if you can open a window or two, that helps even more.
Will the carpet feel wet after?
Just damp to the touch — not soaked. We use a low-moisture method, so you're never left with a sodden carpet. Synthetic carpets are walk-on dry quickly. Wool carpets take longer because they hold moisture by their nature. Either way, no flood, no smell.

On the Day

Do I need to move furniture before you arrive?
Large or heavy items we don't move — wardrobes, beds, fitted units, big bookcases. We work around them carefully. Small items, please move before we arrive — toys, magazines, charger cables, small chairs, ornaments. Easiest approach: lift everything off the floor and onto a bed or sofa that isn't being cleaned. If anything's especially fragile or you're unsure about a specific piece, just mention it when you book.
How long does the job take?
Honestly, it varies — and we won't pretend otherwise. A light carpet clean might be done in an hour or two. A pair of heavily-stained cream sofas could easily take half a day. We'd rather take the time to do it properly than rush. When you book, we'll give you an honest estimate based on what you've told us. Then we work the job through until it's right.
Do you need parking?
Yes please — somewhere we can get the equipment from the van to your door. If there are any parking quirks (permits, narrow streets, limited spaces) let us know when booking so we can plan around it.
Will the carpet shrink?
No. Our low-moisture method and (where relevant) wool-safe treatments mean shrinkage isn't a risk. We test in a hidden area first if there's ever any uncertainty about a particular fabric or carpet.

Stains, Smells & Mess

Can you guarantee all stains will come out?
We get the vast majority of stains out completely — but it's honest to say no professional cleaner can guarantee 100% of every possible stain. Things like permanent dye, paint, and very old set-in stains may not fully shift. We'll look at what you have, give you our honest opinion, and quote transparently before treating.
What if my carpet has been treated by someone else first?
It's important to tell us if it has — particularly if the previous attempt involved a rental machine like Rug Doctor, a DIY hire, or another cleaner with low-end equipment. These can sometimes push contamination deeper into the carpet, underlay, or subfloor rather than removing it, which makes our job harder and the result less predictable. We'll still do everything we can, but we'll be honest before we start about what we think we can achieve. See sensitive cleans or pet odour & urine for more detail on these situations.
How do you handle pet urine and odours?
Every clean includes up to one litre of urine neutraliser free for minor pet (or human) accidents. For deeper contamination — multiple incidents, soaked underlay — we assess the situation and quote properly before treating. The cheap method is to mask the smell; we actually remove it.
What about old red wine, ink or paint?
Those are "specialist stains" — they often need extra time, specific chemistry, or both. We treat each one individually: look at it, tell you what we think we can achieve, then quote before starting. We won't pretend a tricky stain is "easy" just to win the job.

Services & Areas

What do you clean?
Carpets, sofas, upholstery (fabric chairs, ottomans, footstools), and we offer wool-safe cleaning for wool carpets. We also do specialist stain treatment, pet odour removal, biohazard cleaning, and commercial work.
Do you clean rugs?
Yes — both attached (on the floor) and loose rugs. Wool and synthetic. We assess the rug first to make sure we use the right approach.
Do you cover my area?
We cover 16 towns across Wirral and Chester — including Ellesmere Port (our most-covered area), Bebington, Birkenhead, Bromborough, Chester, Eastham, Heswall, Ness, Neston, New Brighton, Parkgate, Spital, Thurstaston, Wallasey, West Kirby and Willaston. Just outside? Give us a quick call — we sometimes travel for larger jobs.
Do you do commercial cleaning?
Yes. We clean office carpets, communal areas in flats, and high-traffic commercial spaces. Out-of-hours scheduling available so we don't disrupt your business. Get in touch for a custom quote.
